I was wondering what the difference was just recently! Thanks for the video. The effort was definitely significantly less and the job much easier thanks for the video.
Great demonstration. New wire nuts recommended. Pretwisting wires not needed, there is not universal agreement on twisting. Thanks, very helpful to assist me installing me installing my replacement. Could note air gap addition per some codes.
Sometimes there's no room fit the tools
I would assume it doesn't need one. Who gives a Ṣ̌ĥŤ?
Soldering is what masters do!
Get off my job site boy!
I'm not a plumber and I know a real plumber wouldn't use sharkbite fittings
get out of here .this guys is not serious right hi si capping
NO! Bad boy
Thats embarrassing to put sharkbites on a Delta. Don't. Also, shower heads have a gasket so they dont need tape. 😂
Shark bite? Obviously a sales pitch by shark bite but no real plumber would use shark bite unless for temporary til suppliers back open
Shark bites!!! What a hack! You lose at plumbing
When I saw sharkbite I was like heh? then I saw white teflon tape and was like nahhh
Put in a delta -not high price-took two days to work.
Unfortunately, you cannot be a master plumber. You must be a contractor playing a plumber because plumbers do not use Sharkbite.
so this is what it feels like to drive a Ford F250
You don't need to heat hot water!
If it was that easy ! 😊
You don’t need the damn measuring tool just eyeball it!
Nice job, very thorough, did you remember to turn off the downstairs lav faucet ? I worked in plumbing service remodeling for 15 years and new construction for 8 years . I'm done ! 😊

Sharkbite? Really?
I love the part where you showed it fitting on
Easy to push in the video but a huge struggle in real time installing! Video is hugely exaggerated.
Hello! Try our new SharkBite Max fittings, which have half the insertion force! Check it out here: www.sharkbite.com/us/en/max
Mine did not slide that easy
Cool! Thanks!
Very good instructions. I saw another plumber use an iron board to lay on.
Time for lunch
Can't get the 3/4 push connector onto a 3/4 pipe. The ends are exactly the same size. Is there to open the quick connector to widen it prior to connecting?
On the video you have a tool that marks the depth but what is the depth? Is it 1 inch?
Second comment
Never sharkbite copper to pvc or pex, nor to the others. Always shark bite copper to copper, pvc to pvc, and pex to pex. Otherwise learn why your pipes burst in your walls
Hi there! SharkBite fittings with tan collars can be connected to PEX, copper, CPVC, PE-RT or HDPE SDR-9 pipe in any combination. If you want to connect to PVC, you’ll need a fitting with a white collar.
Shark bites are hack
You mad bro?
@@GMAC240 shark bites are hack, they blocked me for 24 hrs for telling the truth.
Shark bites are for hackers and homeowners. Keep selling them, it equals 160$ an hour emergency call for us plumbers.
nah people just don’t know how to install them correctly 🤦♂️
Do they have this in 7/8?
Because it allows a maximum amount of flow without it? I think I logiced real good.
So what's the difference max vs non max? For regular under sink usage.
Hello, SharkBite Max is the same great fitting as SharkBite (1st generation), just with added durability and easier insertion. We are driven by innovation and are always looking for ways to improve, including our fittings! Click here for more info: bit.ly/3yU2FFv
You know you can open the sides of it and turn up the temperature it's got a manual adjustment
I accidentally clicked on this
These things are pieces of dung as you can only apply it to a single size.
Not in my house. Never see em last more than a few years.
Dude the Green Power Ranger is a total hack. He is embarrassing himself in front of plumbers worldwide. Shark bites are hack and I’ve ripped out better work than that. I’m sick of following idiots like this around town and fixing their pig work.
Clown plumbing
Trying to go from 5/8 poly b to anything else. Cant find a push on fitting only crimp. Do you have a link where I can purchase?
Hi charlesmartin1262, for 5/8" outside diameter pipe, we offer a 1/2" polybutylene fitting. For all push-to-connect polybutylene fittings, click here: www.sharkbite.com/us/en/brass-push-to-connect?f%5B0%5D=pipe_compatibility%3A205
@@SharkBitePlumbing perfect thank you. I've never had a SharkBite fitting fail but crimp on .......
Never place shark bite fittings inside a wall. Bad idea, you will soon learn why.
Absolutely not shark bites are code I've used them for yrs never a leak yet..n I get to save customers 100s of dollars ...
Dude you should only use SharkBite for emergency and last-minute situations.
Use copper.
We use pex for rerouting all the time never a call back ever
Will pex A work with the push to connect or does it have to be used with the expansion fittings?
My new water heater has the standard inlet/outlet size of 3/4". The nipples have anti corrosion sleeves, so the flow is restricted down to 1/2", and then the dip tube on the inlet size is only 3/8" ID, so flow rate reduced even more. DOH.
I usually don’t do negative comments but I do not recommend this product to anyone who intends to do a permanent installation. Two of my parents’ bathrooms and a water bib have this product and all have failed SharkBite connectors. This is from two different installations from two different plumbing companies at two separate times. Both bathrooms are leaking and the water bib outside caused MAJOR damage after a freeze earlier this year. It’s going to cost thousands of dollars to get all the repairs needed done. It’s been an absolute nightmare. Buyer beware.
